Breeders are engaged in research, care, improvement and production of newly developed breeds of rabbits. There are many rabbitries registered in American Rabbit Breeders Association (A.R.B.A). Breeders usually deal in domestic rabbits. The Rabbit Hill, a small SF Bay Area rabbitry, deals in Holland Lops, Mini Rexes, Netherland Dwarfs and Jersey Woolies.
Rabbits - Holland Lop
This breed was named so because of distinctive position of the ears; they do not stand upright but rather hang on both sides of the head. Although small in size, they have a very well set muscular body and are naturally vivid, energetic and curious. These pudgy little things love being caressed and they always crave for attention. Holland Lop Rabbits may occur in different colors.
Rabbits - Mini Rex
Mini Rex rabbits are famous for short and dense, plushy coat. An interesting fact is that, the density of the fur depends on how regularly you caress the rabbit. Unlike Holland Lops, they hold their ears in an upright position. Body is less tough looking than that of the Holland Lops, but they are no less active and lively.

Rabbits - English Lop
These rabbits are extremely petty and kind. They are excellent pets for pet lovers to toy with. They belong to the category of big rabbits and they don't have long hair. Of course, their volumetric ears place them on a particular position among other species.
Rabbits - Netherland Dwarfs
This species is definitely loved by children and people with a sentimental temper. Netherland Dwarfs are tiny in size, easy to care and very amiable. They have not-too-long ears and intense eyes. They do not demand large quantities of food and are far less expensive to care for them. More to the point, they are a lot more diverse in color than other rabbits. The American Netherland Dwarf Rabbit Club has estimated that there are currently as many as 24 color patterns, which have been registered to date, and even more are coming up.
Rabbits - Jersey Wooly
These rabbits are also regarded as Dwarf Rabbits. They need particularly thorough and prolonged grooming because they feature up to 5-inch long hair. The rabbit's fine hair adds dignity and charm to its appearance. Wooly Rabbits also enjoy popularity among children of all ages.
